Product information
Codipack’s thermal transfer ribbons are wax, resin or combination-based ink ribbons used in label printers and print & apply machines to create permanent, high-quality prints on labels and packaging. They solve the problem of short-lived direct-thermal prints by transferring ink via heat, resulting in scratch- and smear-resistant barcodes, text and graphics resistant to moisture, chemicals and temperature fluctuations.
Compatible with printers from brands like Sato, Zebra, Toshiba and Honeywell, and suitable for in-line TTO printers on flexible packaging like PP, PE and PET films. Also usable for print & apply machines as mentioned. Applications include logistics, food packaging, outdoor-labeling, automotive and solvent-heavy production environments. The right ribbon choice extends expensive printhead life and significantly improves print quality. Codipack supplies A-grade ribbons from stock, tailored to specific requirements for minimal material waste and low maintenance costs.

Frequently asked questions
Coding and labeling is our core business. We have 5000 customers in very diverse sectors: from the local cheese shop to the multinational.
What are the different types of thermal transfer ribbons?
There are wax for standard paper labels, wax-resin for outdoor and plastic, and resin for extreme durability in chemicals or heat.
Which printers do these ribbons work with?
They are compatible with label printers from Sato, Zebra, Toshiba, Honeywell and TTO in-line printers such as Allen coding.
What extends the printhead lifetime?
The antistatic coating and A-quality materials reduce wear and ensure automatic cleaning.
For which applications are resin ribbons suitable?
Resin ribbons offer smudge- and scratch-resistance on synthetic materials in automotive, solvent-heavy production or temperature fluctuations.
