Product information
The Zebra ZT231 is a compact industrial label printer that supports both direct thermal and thermal transfer printing, with a maximum print width of 104 mm and print speeds up to 12 ips (305 mm/s) at 203 dpi or 8 ips at 300 dpi. It is designed for light industrial applications such as logistics, manufacturing, retail, and warehousing, where reliable labels and barcodes for shipping, inventory, and identification are needed. The printer uses a thin film printhead with E3 Element Energy Equalizer for consistent print quality, even at high volumes.
The side-loading media path and bi-fold door with transparent window make loading labels and ribbons simple, while movable sensors for transmission and reflection offer flexible media support (continuous, die-cut, notch, black mark). With 256 MB SDRAM and Flash memory, it efficiently stores formats and graphics. Connectivity includes USB 2.0, RS-232, Ethernet, and USB Host, with options for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The printer supports ZPL II and EPL (at 203 dpi direct thermal), and is ENERGY STAR certified for lower energy consumption.
