The Sato WS4-2 series includes compact 4-inch desktop printers for direct thermal and thermal transfer printing, suitable for logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, and retail with daily high volumes. The WS408-2 (203 dpi) prints up to 152 mm/s (6 ips), the WS412-2 (305 dpi) up to 102 mm/s (4 ips), both with print width up to 104 mm for sharp barcodes and labels. Auto-calibration and adjustable I-mark sensor ensure reliable media detection.
With 32-bit RISC CPU (600 MHz), 16MB Flash, and 128MB RAM, the series supports SZPL, SEPL, SDPL, SIPL, and SBPL emulations for broad software compatibility. Standard USB + RS232C/LAN; optional Bluetooth and WLAN, cutter, dispenser, and offwinder make the printer versatile for tear-off, cutter, and dispenser applications. Face-in/face-out ribbon and media from 22.4–115 mm wide make the WS4-2 suitable for shipping labels, wristbands, and product identification.
