The Toshiba B-SX8T is an industrial 8-inch label printer suitable for large labels such as pallet labels, logistics labels, and compliance labels with a lot of information. The printer uses thermal transfer and direct thermal technology with a near-edge printhead of 305 dpi, making barcodes, small text, and graphic elements sharp and legible, even on wide labels up to 213.3 mm. Thanks to print speeds up to 203 mm per second, the B-SX8T is deployable in environments where large volumes must be processed continuously, such as warehouses, production, and transport.
The printer supports various materials, including vellum paper, matte and glossy coated paper, synthetic films, PET, and polyimide, making it suitable for both standard logistics labels and industrial applications with higher requirements. With centered media alignment, reflective and transmissive sensors, and a standard ribbon-save function, material and ribbon consumption is limited. The combination of parallel, USB 2.0, Ethernet, and optional serial or wireless interfaces makes integration into existing IT and ERP environments simple via TPCL and BCI functionality.
