The Zebra DS8100 Series is a range of high-quality 1D/2D handheld imagers, designed to make checkout processes in retail, hospitality, and other customer-facing environments run as smoothly as possible. The scanners effortlessly read classic paper barcodes, poorly printed or damaged labels, and barcodes on smartphone screens, ensuring transactions proceed quickly and without frustration. Thanks to the combination of an 800 MHz processor, a high-resolution megapixel sensor, and Zebra PRZM imaging technology, the DS8100 Series offers very high read speeds, even with challenging barcodes.
Within the series, choose the corded DS8108 or the wireless DS8178 with Bluetooth communication and a range of approximately 100 meters from the base. The scanners are suitable for use at traditional checkout counters, self-checkout, or pick-up counters, and support various host interfaces such as USB, RS232, Keyboard Wedge, and IBM 46xx over RS485, facilitating integration with existing POS systems. Zebra’s DataCapture DNA software and features like Multi-Code Data Formatting and intelligent document capture help process data efficiently in backend applications.
