Food products are available in different types of packaging, such as shrink-wrap, regular film and cardboard. The information encoded on the packaging changes frequently, so coding solutions need to be flexible. The coding system must also withstand extreme temperatures, high humidity and dusty environments typical of the food industry and use inks suitable for specific packaging.
