Codipack has been using FSC ® approved paper materials for the production of labels for many years. In 2019, we have gone a step further and are also FSC certified as an organisation by obtaining our own FSC Chain of Custody certification, SCS-COC-007008.
What exactly does this mean?
The FSC label guarantees responsible sourcing from sustainably managed forests and/or recycling. Wood and derived products or other forest products that carry an FSC claim can only do so if the processing chain from forest to end product is also checked in terms of traceability.
The strict requirements of the FSC label and its credibility are widely recognised. The FSC label is the only label of its kind that is supported by environmental organisations such as WWF and Greenpeace, as well as by social and economic players. In terms of the number of companies actively pursuing FSC certification, the FSC system is the largest both in Belgium and worldwide.

FSC CoC certified companies are audited annually by independent certification bodies, which essentially monitor the traceability of FSC products throughout the company (purchase, sale, storage, production, etc.).
Companies that work correctly are issued an FSC CoC certificate with an FSC CoC code and a license code assigned to them. Only certified companies can apply FSC labels on products and/or include the FSC claim in their administration.
Codipack thus contributes to responsible forest management.
